Desert Valley - leadership classes
Over 200 community members, including members of the Heart and Sole Walking club, The Desert Valley Senior Preferred Club and the leadership classes from 3 local schools, pose for a photo in front of the new Heart Center before the 2012 Block Walk for heart health on Feb.17th. The proceeds from the event will help CPR certify 25 local businesses and help save lives in the community.
Desert Valley Charitable Foundation is a 501c(3) not-for-profit charitable organization . It was founded in 1989 by Dr. Prem Reddy, Chairman of the Board, with an initial gift of $1-million dollars. Since that time, Dr. Prem Reddy has contributed over $5-million dollars to the Foundation. The Desert Valley Charitable Foundation serves the health care needs of the High Desert communities in many ways, including a free public health library, a scholarship program for students in the health care field, and the support of other health care related charities.

You will receive a free meal for each four-hour shift, a hospital pharmacy discount and are welcome to attend periodic lectures and special events.
What are the hours?
You can volunteer as few as one or two hours per week. Flexible schedules include daytime, evening and weekend hours.
How old must volunteers be?
The minimum age is 14, and there is no maximum age.
